Carrion Crawler - Painting project

Painting journal.

I have the box set of Dungeons and Dragons from Parker, which comes with some nice miniatures. They are not incredible but more than good enough for practicing my painting skills.

This is my journal of how I did this particular model:
The wizard is only for scale comparison.

1. I used my grey technical primer and an undercoat of Citadel Averland Sunset in the whole miniature.
I don't have any picture of this stage.

2. For the under belly of the beast I applied Green Stuff Intensity Ink "Viridis Green" and for the rest of the body, the "Gorgon Dark Green"

3. For the spikes on the sides and the under jaw I used Vallejo Dead Flesh as base, later a wash with Army Painter Red Tone Wash

4. The tentacles were done with a base of Citadel Calgar Blue and the Army Painter Red Tone wash for the purple tone.

5. For the mouth I used a bit of Green Stuff Intensity Ink Sacra Purple and a bit of Vallejo Dead Flesh.

6. The eyes were done with a small touch of Green Stuff Metallic Sirenscale Green.

Pictures of the miniature with the undercoat, the green inks, the side spikes, the jaws, the eyes and the blue tentacles.

After the Red Tone wash.

Final touches and ready :)
